There’s a desperation to Babyfxce E’s rapping style that imbues his music with urgency, a desire to share all his thoughts before the studio mic cuts out and the engineer heads home for the night. Like many of his Michigan peers (Babyfxce hails from Flint), E crams as many ideas into his songs as possible, and on 2025’s M Block, he reveals a vulnerability that enhances the delivery. With a hint of raspiness, E remembers the days when he had nothing and explains that all this hard work represents a desire to never live those days again. On opener “Late Night,” he raps, “Left my heart up on the stage, n***a, I done lost my fuckin' voice.” When he delivers the line in a half-whisper, it’s easy to believe him.
