Most Innovative Album Ever

Nobody sounds like Ratatat. Theyre style is so unique and this is definately theyre best album yet. They use sounds from all three of their previous albums mixed with some brand new sounds to create a new style that is sick. There is more creativity in the opening track 'Bilar' than there is in all of the top 100 songs on itunes added together

A "more focused" LP3

While their last effort "LP3" was their most experimental and all over the map sonically (not saying it's a bad thing), LP4 seems to have more of overriding theme to it, thus making it a stronger album. The opening track "Bilar" takes the listener by surprise and hits them with a different energy and sound that hasn't really been heard from Ratatat before. There is not a single song that fails on this album, although "We Can't Be Stopped" and "Mahalo" weren't overly exciting tracks. For those of you who did not pre-order this on iTunes, the bonus track "Biddang" is very interesting and a fun listen, but it is easy to see why it was not included on the final version of the album.

I consider myself to be a HUGE fan of Ratatat (almost to the point of obsessive), and I can appreciate the way their music has evolved over their four LP's and LP4 is yet another step in the right direction.
