Editors’ Notes If you’ve had trouble keeping up with Furman—the prolific punk-folker who’s released several intimate, incendiary albums during the last few years—Sex Education serves as a perfect introductory class. The soundtrack for Netflix’s hit young-lust drama features several standout tracks from her recent past, like the exquisite pop-anthem “Love You So Bad” and a gut-punching acoustic cover of LCD Soundsystem’s “I Can Change.” The new tunes, meanwhile, are some of Furman’s most direct hits to date: The big-hearted ballad “La Madrugada” captures the dreamy camaraderie of young love, while the swooning “Care” is a plea for affection relatable to pretty much anyone, regardless of age.
