EDITORS’ NOTES

Neo-folk singer/songwriter Langhorne Slim set out to capture something raw and spontaneous with this album, and he got what he was after. While some tracks like "Zombie" bear a blend of Americana and indie pop not terribly far from that of M. Ward, rootsier tunes like the foot-stomping, back-porch hoedown "Bluebird" and the spare, folk-flavored outlaw ballad "Private Property" dominate. And when Slim seamlessly mixes pop and folk on the infectious, upbeat, and rather Cat Stevens-ish "Funny Feelin'," he ups his game to a whole other level.

Lost at Last

Langorhorn struck the right chord on this one. It is closer in sound to the earlier albums, and the bare emotions of the lyrics match the unqiue blend of blues/bluegrass/country/americana of the music he's marched towards. This is a truly enjoyable album.

Classic Slim!!

Absolutely loving what i'm hearing from Lost at Last! I'm so excited to hear the rest. I really liked Spirit, but this one seems to be much better - more folky and unfettered like his earlier stuff. Slim is such a natural talent that you don't need much to make magic happen.

UPDATE: This is classic Langhorne Slim and I love every single track. I was worried that his/their stuff was going to follow in the common path of becoming more and more over produced and that synths, drum machines and auto tune would start creeping in as Spirit seemed to be less raw than the rest of his/their stuff. My fears were unfounded as this is album is a near overcorrection. It's ALMOST too lo-fi. lol. Almost, but not quite. It's perfect. This album is what i love about Langnorne Slim.

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.

Once again another album that doesn't have a single song on it that you want to skip!!! Every song is great... my favorite artist. 100%
