Classic Album...For Me At Least

This was the album that got me hooked on Phil and Genesis while I grew up during the 80s and have been a lifelong fan ever since. The 5 star rating is based on the album and the remaster. If I had to give the second disc a rating, it would be 4. While I appreciate the live tracks, I was never a fan of demos. Would have definitely preferred the b-sides "The Man With the Horn" and "I Like the Way" remastered instead of the demos. At least I already have "I Like the Way" that was released a few years ago when Atlantic released CD versions of Phil's singles from his first album through "...But Seriously". Sadly, "The Man With the Horn" was not included, and to this day I can only find it on vinyl.

Sounds unbelievable remastered

The best song is missing!

The remastered album is amazing, the sweetening of the instruments is just enough to make the songs richer, I didn't think that was possible but even listening to it on an iPhone I can hear the difference. But let's talk about the elephant in the room, where is "The Man With The Horn"? When I saw it wasn't on this album I thought maybe it would show up on the extended Singles release, nope, I don't get it! One of the best b-sides and he never put it on disc. Instead we get three peats of the same songs remastered, live and demo. The remastered is brilliant, 5 stars. The live and demo disc drops it down to 3 stars. He didn't need that second "disc" all he needed to do was add one song to disc 1 and it would've been perfect. Well, in my opinion anyway.
