Coming off the double triumphs of Marcus Garvey and Man in the Hills, reggae philosopher Winston Rodney brings an exuberant mood to this live set. On the anthemic "Slavery Days" (retitled "I and I Survive"), his vocals grow more forceful as the audience shouts back the choruses. "Throw Down Your Arms" delivers pacifist lyrics with fighting-mad energy, as Rodney slams a tambourine in time with the bass. With Aswad backing him, the songs feel heavier and more foreboding, featuring the rhythm section upfront in the mix.
