Off-key and Bad Pitch throughout Performance
I love Keane. I love their songwriting and the simplicity, yet richness of their sound. What is so disappointing is hearing how flat, and at times, sharp the front man is on the songs. This should have never been produced for distribution. It's like the band either didn't see the final product or didn't care (I would hope it wasn't the latter). When you have a 3 man group and the main focus are the vocals, the keys, and the drums, they all better be on tight and clean. You can't have a third of the band (the vocals) just not with it. This is an embarrassment to the band and makes them look very amateur, of which they are not. Trust me; don't waste your money on this crap. What's worse than hearing your favorite songs being sung in terrible fashion? And Keane, there's no excuse for putting crap out there. You guys have the goods. Be more demanding of yourselves.
Keane are a great live band!
The guys from Keane are back with the fantastic new record Under The Iron Sea. Live at ULU showcases the craftmanship and energy that this band creates. Is It Any Wonder? is a great leadoff single, perfomed live on this EP. I can't wait to see them in Reading when I travel to the UK next month!
Leaving So Soon? and The Frog Prince are my favorite songs off the new album. I'm so excited that these made it onto the live album!
