Jack White is a genius

I don't know that America has encountered as much talent as Jack White. Granted there are those who argue Dylan is on the top of the list and others. But for my generation no one has the same passion for Truth. I believe this album is the finest expression of Jack's artistic freedom and it shows you the many facets of his abilities. True to their form The White Stripes take the listener on a journey through different types of expression, no two songs are quite the same. And Red Rain? Wow! Enjoy listener, be enriched. Jack White is to be considered a prophet on some levels and inspired in the very least.

Incredibly Brilliant

This album is an incredible departure from the hard hitting, floor thumping, revived garage rock that the White Stripes are known for (though 'Instinct Blues' still holds this tradition). This album explores a folk and diverse side of the White Stripes, other than the blues based rock they perfected. Fans of De Stijl and White Blood Cells will not get what they expect here, but with an open mind can at least appreciate this albums brilliance and creativity.

If you do not wish to buy the whole album, the key tracks are: Blue Orchid, My Doorbell, Forever For Her, The Denial Twist, White Moon, Instinct Blus, and I'm Lonely.

Enjoy, and I hope you found this to be a useful review.

.....Different......I like it! This is their most unique, and probably worst album. But it works! It comes as a complete surprise too long time Stripes fans. Even if you don't like it, you will come to love it. It takes a few listens, but after the fourth time you hear "Doorbell" you can't help but groove along! Smart moove Mr. White! Check out "Blue Orchid"!
