Stripmall Architecture never fails to blow me away, and this is no exception. On Albino Peacock, the Coseboom collective takes the magic and energy of Stripmall Architecture to a slightly stranger plane, bringing in unusual percussion sounds and other beautifully warped noises. It works, brilliantly.

Lyrically and musically, there's nothing but excellence in here. Breaking out of the typical restraints of popular music without being at all inaccessible, Albino Peacock is a wonderful EP by a wonderful band. Get it now. Listen to it on your stereo. Embrace it. You'll be glad that you did.

These four songs are evil: they seduce you and make you crazy that there's only four of them, leaving you desperately wishing there were more... "Lemoncholic" alone will move into your head permanently. A most brilliant EP!

Pushing new boundaries

I was simply blown away the first time I heard "Lauren, I Said" and "Peacock," two very dark and sexy tracks that prove Rebecca and Ryan Coseboom from Stripmall Architecture are not afraid to try different elements in their music. Other words I'd use to describe these songs would be seductive, hypnotic. "Lemoncholic" trips along in a more poppy vein, the kind of track you want to hear again and again. This is great stuff from a band that rarely disappoints. Buy it. Savor it
