Intricately latticed electric and acoustic guitars, often flavored with Frisell's trademark digital looping, lend a three-dimensional quality to the Brazilian New Yorker’s smooth, supple singing. A knotted Frisell solo extends the balladic beauty of "Lagrimas de Amor," "Calle 7" celebrates street life, and the title track's trickster guitar and intricate percussion couldn't be more warmly charismatic.
