Island Delights

Ho'onu'a are Christian Yrizarry and Jared Keo, and "Feel Good Island Music" is their debut album from 1998. The album is produced by Sean Na'auao.

"2500" is the happiest sounding homesick song you'll ever find.

Feel Good Island Music" is a crash course in the history of contemporary island music, and features a guest rap by Sudden Rush. If you buy only one track from this album, you're a fool. But buy this one.

"Blue Skies" is a bouncy love song to Hawaii's unbeatable weather.

Impress your Iz-fan friends by introducing them to "Koa Tree". Pretend you've been listening to this since 1998, but for some reason you just didn't mention it before.

You could probably skip "Why Did I?", but later when this has grown to become one of your favorite albums you'll wonder why you did.

Looking for something unique to mix into your surfing playlist? "Surf Session" will make your friends stop and ask, "Who dat?"

Maybe you're lucky and some day KCCN will play "Island Style Cruising" while you're actually driving around, cruising island style. Or you can buy this track now and live the dream whenever you want.

"When I Think About You" -- Skims along with a lighthearted island riddim. What more could anyone want?

"Spirit Of Nature" is a subdued little eco-tune tucked in here at the tail end of the album, a gem unspoiled by studio production.

There are three things necessary for a sunset tailgate shindig: a sunset, a tailgate, and "When The Night Falls Down". In fact, as long as you have this song, you can probably get away with not having a sunset or a tailgate.
