The opening track, “Tiny Little Bows,” has Jepsen quoting Sam Cooke’s “Cupid” before a funky bass line and disco era–worthy string sounds come in. Her strong singing is highlighted in a pair of quieter pieces including “Beautiful,” a lovely guitar-driven duet with Justin Bieber.
