The Mighty Manhattans

The Manhattans have gone through as many (if not more) personnel changes as most successfull R&B groups. Through-out their myriad incarnation, they have - for the most part - been able to render a very high quality product to their loyal fans. This edition - which I missed and was obviously was smothered in the disco rage of that time - is no exception. Recently my wife and I - and another couple - were privileged to have first row seats at this groups performance at "Blues Alley" in Washington DC: The 'house' let us stay for both shows: Stunning would be an understatement! We love all of your work - Stay up Blue, Gerald, Troy and Ron!!!

The Manhattens

I couldn't name the group in a game called Song Pop but I remembered some of their music. So after hearing them perform just had to buy one of their albums. I only wish to have not missed so many years of enjoying their terrific voices. But iTunes delivered an outstanding quality cd via the Internet. Made me feel like I was in the same room as The Manhattens.

Bobby Bee on The Manhattans

One of the groups that epitomize Classic Soul! And they've been around so long , even before Gerald Alston took them to the zenith w/ their 1st grammy-winning "Kiss & Say Goodbye!
