The best!

I swear this is the best album for Arch Enemy of all time

A solid end

This was my first Arch Enemy album, and the last to feature Angela on vocals. The instrumental pieces of this album caught my ears immediately. But something with the vocals and lyrics were off. That was the fact that the vocals were layered horribly. Having a very "Glen Benton" approach as seen on the record "Scars of the Crucifix".
Meaning a high layered over a growl layered over 1 or two mids. It's too much. It's a nice aesthetic when a high and growl are mixed over each other. However, that's the feel on the entire record, and it, for me really tore the value of this album down a bit. Not much. But enough to only grant it an 8/10.
