Justicia Universal

Justicia Universal

Despite their obvious love for majestic '80s synth-pop, Dorian can still raise goosebumps when they go acoustic, which they first proved on their intimate 2015 album Diez Años y un Día. After years of touring, the Spanish rockers have decided to once again plug in their keyboards and crank up the amps on their fifth album, reverting to the unabashedly epic and dreamily cinematic sound that first made them natural arena fillers. Justicia Universal is loaded with the band's trademark slow-burn anthems that build to anguished or ecstatic climaxes ("Duele"), and the ethereal ballads ("Vicios y Virtudes") remain grounded by socially conscious bandleader Marc Gili, who sings with a conviction that's captivating even at a murmur.
