EDITORS’ NOTES

The Internet create a stunningly lush neo-soul romance with their third album. Led by slyly seductive vocalist/songwriter Syd tha Kyd and the warm, instinctive production of Matt Martians, the Los Angeles band performs suites brimming with incense and whispers. “Under Control” undulates on Patrick Paige’s plunging bass notes, while “Gabby” is marked by Steve Lacy’s staccato rhythm guitar. On “Just Sayin/I Tried,” Syd offers sharp words, proving that while she’s clearly a romantic, she’s not a woman to be trifled with.

The Death of Ego!

Man… 3rd time’s a charm and the gang definitely brought their A game on this one and being a part of it adds a little more sentiment to it.
The production is full of surprises, The lyrical content is honest, the melodies has a dark depth to them and Syd’s voice has come a LONG way. The progress is evident.
True Internet fans won’t be disappointed and the new comers are in for a treat.

Album of the Year, hands down!

This album is sensational. If it doesn't win any kind of awards with the title "Best" attached to it, I have no more hope in mankind. Straight up! This is funky r&b at it's best. Syd is basically this generations Lauren Hill and the rest of the group are the fugees, but even funkier! This is better than a classic album. It's timeless.
