OsamaSon burst onto the scene with 2023’s Osama Season, a delightfully fried interpretation of the synth-heavy, unpredictable melodic rage-rap pioneered by the scene’s guiding light, Playboi Carti. Alongside fellow hip-hop disruptors like Nettspend, Ken Carson, Yeat, and Destroy Lonely, OsamaSon has helped reimagine the genre. On his 2025 effort, Jump Out, he puts forth a technicolor fever dream filled with too many drugs, more money than imaginable, and opps lurking at every corner. This excited anxiety gives the album a propulsive, unrelenting energy. On “Break Da News,” the cheery synths and distortion-heavy bass serve as nice counterpoints, accenting OsamaSon’s chorus: “Yeah, I don’t know how to break the news, but I’m rich, yeah.” Elsewhere, on “Waffle House,” the hi-hats take a cue from Atlanta’s trap history and the synths tease the influence of trance music. In between flexes about designer clothes, the ladies in his life, and Bentleys, OsamaSon also reveals the work ethic that helped him accrue this lavish lifestyle: “Hold up, give me an inch, I run a mile,” he raps.
