Love That Music ,

Book of Mormon

On January 20, 2013, I saw Mark Evans as Elder Price in the Book of Mormon National Tour at the Paramount Theater in Seattle. Evans was wonderful in his role and projected his perfectly character-inflected voice to the highest rafters. Therefore, it should not be found surprising that I wanted to hear more from this wonderful singer. I quickly discovered that Evans was Welsh and had recorded a debut album. The Journey Home is a wonderful album that contains Evans' signature fine-tuned vocals. If nothing else, check out "Flight," "Alive," "Brand New Day (Acoustic)," and "Unchained Melody."

Good luck in the future, Mark! You deserve stateside success and are sure to receive it soon!

Adore This Album!

I also saw Mark at the Book of Mormon and thought his voice was so crisp and powerful. That absolutely translates to this album. His songs are clear, precise, and honest--and, man! The voice on this one! It melts butter. What I also love is how peaceful and fun this album is. Mr. Evans relies on the beauty of his lyrics and melodies to carry him through. He's such a storyteller--his voice has such a range, and a range of emotion to it. This is my first iTunes review, because it's the first time I've actually been compelled to write one. Thanks so much for providing me with some lovely background music and vocals for my long rides to and from work, for my relax time, and for any other time when I just want to sit back and hear something brilliant. This is a classic, and it'll remain as wonderful and heartwarming as it is now for a very, very long time.
