EDITORS’ NOTES

Ben Rector's Christmas collection is short and sweet, and the Nashville singer/songwriter takes a charmingly fresh approach to the classics. His folksy guitar- and piano-based arrangements are pleasantly minimal, his voice is lightly peppy, and when the session musicians give themselves a round of applause after completing a spirited "Jingle Bells," they sound like party guests having fun in your living room. Their version of "Away in a Manger" is a soothing lullaby, and closer “Auld Lang Syne” wraps things up on a wistful note.

Fun and Fresh

I am a person who can't stand Christmas music, however I can't get enough of Rector's music. When I heard he had a Christmas EP, I had no choice but to buy it. He brings his playful and fresh sound to songs like "Let It Snow" and takes the old classics very seriously. This a great little album that you should add to your holiday collection. I hope Ben contiunes his great sound and success.

Ben Rector is underrated

I love Christmas music, and this album is everything i have been looking for in a christmas album, but can't seem to ever find. I've been a long time fan of Ben Rector, ever since he was with euromart. He is an incredibly talented musician with a uniquely smooth voice. Songs like "Hank" and "The Feeling" truly shine with his genius. He continues to inspire me with everything he puts out. Here is a thanks to the guy who made me want to start writing music.

Six Words.....Ben Rector is A-maz-ing!

This is not only festive but fun collection of holiday classics. And I'm so glad that he is worried about the haters of preemptive Christmas things (thus me) and released it after Thanksgiving. What a swell guy.
