7 Songs, 21 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

The secondary narrative of Travis Scott’s career is the vibes the Houston-bred producer and MC continuously provides for friends and collaborators. That same magic is in full effect on the JACKBOYS compilation, where big Travis Scott energy unites artists from his Cactus Jack label such as Sheck Wes and Don Toliver with like-minded voices Young Thug and Pop Smoke. At just seven tracks, the pack is a relatively short trip into the JACKBOYS world, but an otherwise welcomed reminder of Scott’s curatorial expertise.

Epic!

I've been a Travis $cott fan from back when his moniker was "T. $cott" and I would like to say this did NOT disappoint. He's consistently gotten better without allowing his progress to change who he is as an artist. So we get new content that manages to captivate without a completely changed style. It's very hard to describe. Strong efforts from Sheck Wes and Don Tolliver with Scott's signature production. He's leading the way and JackBoys is going to be bumping in my car all 2020 and beyond!
