Melodic, Brutal, Just a power house of an album

I'm not a big fan of there other works. But for someone that heard just one song I had to get this album when it came out. Definitely one of my all time favs. Like 2 or 3 right after slipknot Iowa.

Underated by the long-time fans

I'm by no means a huge fan of this band, this is actually the only album I've listened to by them. This might discount my opinion about this album, but none the less, I feel that this is a great album by itself. All the songs on the album hold great appeal to me, and while it's not the heaviest album I've ever listened to, it retains some heavy attitude in some songs (The Great Demonizer is a good example of that).

I'd say it's definitely more in tone with being melodic than core. I'd say that's a good thing for people that are fans of Sevendust or Five Finger Death Punch, in which I am. If you see people giving this album harsh ratings, then they're probably big fans of older Bury Your Dead albums. That shouldn't discourage you from listening to this album at least once; it's actually pretty good.
