Heat and Harmony 👏🏽👏🏽

Ruslan’s Indie Jones II is another solid album with some tracks having you feel relaxed and in tune with the song like “Winona’s Song”(for me at least) and then other tracks like “Cold Flow” or “Like That” full of tuff verses makes this album one worth heavily rotating and copping (if you can).

An okay album

Indie Jones 2 is an album that has some nice beats and great features, but it’s definitely lacking in several areas. Ruslan’s style and delivery is catchy and intriguing, causing the listener to be drawn in, but lyrically it’s lacking. Although there are a couple songs that have some thought-provoking lyrics most of the songs are very simplistic. It almost seems like Ruslan was more concerned about making the sound of a word pair with another, rather than the substance behind them. Additionally, numerous lines are unoriginal and heard from many other artists. There are, however, some really solid songs, like “back against the wall” and “like that”, which are heavily boosted by the features. You can absolutely rock with them, but those are intermixed with others that leave you wanting. “Time to go” and “cool guy raps” are underproduced, leaving the listener wanting more. Overall, for the casual rap fan this album will be really enjoyable, and it is definitely worth listening to, but it still has a ways to go in order to be considered above average.
