Very Creative

I think I speak for many prog rock/metal fans in saying that this band fills a void left by popular rock/metal/alt bands that lack edge and melody. Bands like this are far too creative and beautiful to ever be recognized by radio or pop culture. Amazing stuff here.

In my top five albums.

I don't know how to best articulate why I love this album. This was my first interaction with Caligula's Horse, and is personally my favorite of their works. (which is not to say any of the other ones are bad, they are all very good.) It can be melodramatic, and weird at points, but I can listen to this whole album in one sitting without ever being unhappy. Something about the mood, the sound of it, just resonates with me. Hopefully it will with you as well.

Kind of what you would expect

Solid effort and I like some of the djent influences they use here and there. The problem I have is that the singer is largely montone without much range. He is like a poor man's Ian Kenny. I appreciate progressive rock with melodic vocals but Jim Grey is kind of weak and doesn't compliment the muisc that well a lot of the time.

Don't get me wrong, this is still a good album however the vocals and stock progressive guitar solo keep it from being a great album.
