Easy Jazz is not so easy

I saw her in NYC, and I was pleasantly surprised by her music and her attitude on stage. It takes easy jazz to another level and works with great musicians. Bravo!

I Really Liked It.

I had the pleasure of hearing this smooth vocalist at the Metropolitan Room in NYC. Her stage presence and range made an indelible mark, so much so that I downloaded this album (is it even called that anymore?). The romantic-upbeat lyrics along with the rhythmic intros from the band made this enjoyable to listen to. I can clearly hear the influences of Bossa Nova and Samba in songs such as Stand Still, and [her rendition of] What a Difference a Day Makes. I’m hoping she’ll cover Two Shots of Happy, and One Shot of Sad (by Nancy Sinatra) on her next go around.
