11 Songs, 40 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

After reuniting with founding members Matt Wantland (guitar) and Brian Vodinh (guitar/drums), Knoxville post-grunge outfit 10 Years sound rejuvenated on their eighth album. Opener “The Messenger” offers inspirational lyrics over a driving beat, sparkling guitars, and a Tool-esque bridge, while “Novacaine” features a pulsing bassline and high-flying chorus courtesy of vocalist Jesse Hasek. Elsewhere, songs like “Ghosts” and “Phantoms” venture into quieter territory with plaintive guitars and softer, gentler vocal passages.
