Hollywood Gold - EP

Austin-based singer-songwriter Parker McCollum has caught the ears of fans and critics alike with the six-song collection, which debuted within the top 10 of Billboard's country chart the week of its release. Hollywood Gold opens with "Young Man's Blues," a twangy slice of heartland rock that should appeal to fans of Tom Petty and Texas country in equal measure. The tender midtempo ballad "Love You Like That" showcases McCollum's melodic songwriting and refined sense of phrasing, with his sturdy, reedy vocal adding just the right amount of grit to the song's lush production. Hollywood Gold is McCollum's first proper project as an artist signed to MCA Nashville and follows two independently released albums, 2015's The Limestone Kid and 2017's Probably Wrong.
