Remastered crap!

I love America but this album sounds like crap.
I thought it would sound like the originals, nope...

Some of the songs are very special to me and the remaster doesn't sound close.

I wish I could return it!!!

Classic America - (re-recorded)

The new recordings are fun to hear. I tend to enjoy projects like this getting to hear new 'studio' versions. The instrumentation incidentally is not "a keyboard" as one reviewer mentioned. America with no guitars wouldn't be America.

Re-Recorded Versions

Now, I really don't care for re-recordings because the instruments are reduced to a keyboard and the vocal, especially an artist long in the tooth, betrays age due to diminishing range (Juice Newton take notice). While here the instrument is a predictable keyboard the vocals remain strong. All these songs have been remastered in their original versions and are available either on the boxed set or the single complete greatest hits single disc. I've always liked America and am a collector of their works, I'm skipping this disc simply because it would be rather redundant of me to own this set, however the re-recording of "Paradise" here is the best version of this song to date, it seems more reflective and emotional. America has a few more years left and I'd like to see an album of original material, one not keyboard and reverb affected because Gerry and Dewey are better than that.
