The Wolfe Brothers celebrate devotion in many forms on their sixth studio album. Opening track “Put the House on It” relishes unwavering certainty in love—and by extension a long future together—while “Here’s to the Ones” salutes all the mothers, partners, and other women who contribute so much to the world on a daily basis. (It’s especially poignant knowing that Tasmanian siblings Nick and Tom Wolfe lost their own mum in late 2022.) Yet Livin’ the Dream is joyful above all else, as heard on the triumphant “Love Like That,” featuring rousing vocal harmonies from British duo The Shires. The album also marks a full decade since The Wolfe Brothers’ first release, and there’s a genuine sense of appreciation running through these songs. Life might offer up its share of hardship along the way, but the Wolfes are happy to take it all in stride.
