My Haven 10/10

amazing new ideas and melodies that are new but still unique to the band's already signature sound. The song Citizen Zero is an album standout, heavy, dark and theatrical. Singer Tommy Karevik stretches his vocal prowess on this one and I can't wait to see this song live. Another standout is Liar Liar featuring Alissa White-Gluz from the band Arch Enemy. She is doing some intense growls as well as singing clean parts. This song is also a standout and harkens to the days of the band's Fourth Legacy but with modern metal core elements, truly unique. Then there is the ballad Under Grey Skies, with Nightwish's Troy Donockley as guest and Charlotte Wessels on guest vocals. This will be an instant Kamelot classic ballad and fans of all three bands will be quite delighted at the final outcome. Wow, so many elements to write about on this album, I will return in a week to finish my review. 10/10 is the rating on this one and already an early AOTY for 2015. Jase

Kamelot’s Magnum Opus?

Seriously, I have really high expectations for this album. If Veil of Elysium is any indicator of how good this album is going to be, then I can’t wait to hear what the rest of the album has to offer!

Kamelot knocks it out of the park... again.

I've NEVER been let down by any of their releases. It amazes me how they contiue to deliver the sound we love album after album without ever getting "samey." Very impressed - can't wait for the full album!
