Two decades and several hairstyles into their career, Bon Jovi were as defiant as ever on this 2005 LP. The title track is a guns-blazing declaration of freedom, its bravura made all the more convincing by Richie Sambora's distorted guitar licks, while "Last Man Standing" challenges the cutthroat nature of the music industry with sharp, deadly riffs. But there’s a sweetness to the album, too, exemplified on the country-tinged "Who Says You Can't Go Home," which remains one of Bon Jovi’s most tender, nostalgic tunes.
