EDITORS’ NOTES

Anthony West and Josephine Vander Gucht explore their real life relationship via their professional partnership on the third Oh Wonder album. The duo’s electro pop is more romantic than ever—their voices weaving together passionately on the stirring “In And Out Of Love” and urgent “Drunk on You.” On “Hallelujah” they open with sparse strings and piano before building to an anthemic crescendo, chanting the affirmation of the title in unison. And it’s not just the highs of love that they chart, but (on “Happy” and “I Wish I Never Met You”) the bitter sweet feelings familiar to us all.

Like meeting an old friend.

OW, Josephine V and Anthony W are the perfect amalgamation of musical styles poured into a quintessential recognizable sound that seems to bridge generations effortlessly. They put the Yin and the Yang into music and are just as comfortable writing danceable anthems as soulful balads that pull on your heart string and leave you feel exposed. This album like the two before already feels like seeing an old friend and picking up the magic where you left it. Brilliant!

IT’S HERE!

IT’S HERE IT’S HERE IT’S HERE ANTHONY AND JOSEPHINE I AM SO EXCITED!!

Update: this is a tremendous album. Every song is well worth listening to, but my favorites are “Drunk on You,” “Hallelujah”, “Dust”, and “Nebraska”. I love Oh Wonder and for the past several years, they have continued to put out thoughtful, fun music.

Happy is a wonderful track!

At this moment, only a handful of tracks have been released, but Happy is a delightfully wonderful work! Looking forward to the rest of the album!
