A nice evening with Rod and Ron

Although this evening does not match Clapton's, Rod more than holds his own. His voice is in fine form, and with the addition of Ronnie Wood & the accoustic setting, Stewart shines as he plays many of his early hits. His cover of Van Morrison's "Have I told you lately" is excellent, and his rendition of the folk standard "Highgate Shuffle" will satisfy even the most jaded. Bottom line, this is $11.99 well spent. Enjoy!

This is Stewart at his best.
He's got one powerful voice.

.."Down That Gasoline Alley Where I Was Born!"..Yes; "Mellow Sounds For Middle Aged Rockers And Their Loyal Fans"; The "MTV-Live & Unplugged" Series spawned quite a few "Stellar Sets" of the 1990's!-{Kudos to Eric Clapton for making it "Okay To Be Mellow" for Mature Rock Stars!}-And with "Unplugged And Seated"; Rod Stewart & Friends "Deliver The Goods" in a most Relaxed & Rewarding Collection!-(We always preferred those Folky; Blusey Outings of Stewart's first two Solo LP's over his Bump & Grind "Disco-Pop" Phases!)-And there is Interesting Interplay here; With Mandolin; Brushed Drums & Bottleneck Guitar by Rod's good "Old Mate" Ron Wood!-"The Mandolin Wind Couldn't Change A Thing!"...by Grimmbo.
