14 Songs, 54 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Zac Brown has been called both a jam-band artist and one of country music's most bankable stars (nearly every song here was a Top 10 hit on the country charts), but his music transcends these labels. Written with primary collaborator Wyatt Durrette, these songs explore styles ranging from '70s soft rock to classic folk. "Highway 20 Ride" sounds like lost John Denver, and "The Wind" is zippy bluegrass. The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, and, of course, Jimmy Buffet (who cameos on "Knee Deep") are all key influences. Presented chronologically, this collection emphasizes the depth and breadth of Brown's talents.

Nothing new hear, just cuts from 3 albums

Of course all sounds are HITS! They drove ZBB’s first three albums to platinum level and above. However, anyone reading this most-likely already owns all three albums, since ZBB not only puts out great songs, but great albums worth listening to form beginning to end. This collection is a waste of time, as it includes nothing new, and there is so much material they could have included. A live album with some of heir incredible covers, perhaps. Obviously a record company cash-grab in time for the holidays.
