Musical Perfection

Almost mythical in status, I had enjoyed the original recordings for years in The Beach Boys Box Set, but they were incomplete and no where near the standards of this incredibly cohesive, musical masterpiece finally finished for the world to enjoy. It not only elevates pop music to the classical standards of greats and Brian Wilson influencers like George Gershwin, but demonstrates what music can achieve in both the display of melodic genius and in the positive influence over the listener. This album will make you feel good about yourself, about life and about music everytime you listen to it. Warning: Listening to this album may incite feelings of disappointment, dislusionment, and overall disgust over the abilities of other artists and over their music ;).

Makes you Smile

Einstein was a genius. Da Vinci was a genius. Brian Wilson is a remarkably talented musician who succumbed to the public’s overuse of the term genius. Enjoy it for what it is: a great bit of music from someone who has a wonderful gift for putting sounds together to evoke feeling. In listening, you may not discover the meaning of life, but you’ll certainly enjoy it a bit more thanks to Brian’s contributions.

Long live the king of harmonies!

Smile… a record of melodies, pop symphonies, something like you’ve never heard before. Even after more than two decades of being written and not finished it’s something so refreshing to listen to. The songs have this unimaginable feeling and distinction from anything being written… this is the product of a master mind that lives and breathes music. Brian Wilson: Long live the king of harmonies!

Just listen man...
