This Album Goes Nowhere For Me

There are some artists who are very to moderately original, and there are some artists who are not very original and lack an understanding of how music works in general. I'm sorry to say that Rachel Flowers is one of the latter artists as proven by her sophomore album, Going Somewhere. First off, Flowers's fairy-light voice is not fitting with the styles she is attempting to sing, and a lot of the playing and especially the lyrics are very forced and boring, e.g. "Time is very interesting ...", "In a weather that's filled with snow ...", and "I hear lots of things, like the sound of strings ...". I understand that Flowers is trying, so I give her credit for that. I recommend Going Somewhere to anyone willing to give it a try, regardless of whether or not they agree with me. In my opinion, Flowers's debut album, Listen, was a little better, especially the tracks, "Dawn Points" and "Conversations".
