I give this album a solid 4/5, mostly because of the songs I absolutely loved overpowering the forgettable few. I adore songs like Underwater Woman and Aaa and especially Erase, but the other songs are just bland. I like the direction TMBG is directed toward, and this album was just good. I kept most of the songs on the master TMBG playlist I’m compiling. Only the best.

I stumbled upon TMBG during the Apollo 18 era via a sampler disc that came with my Sega CD-ROM gaming system (the song was "Mammal"), and I have been a huge fan ever since. Though great back then, the band has grown in so many ways since (sometimes awkwardly), tucked a couple of Grammy's under their belts, and keep on moving forward.

Glean is the newest collection from this stellar band. The songs are insanely imaginative and musically astonishing. I guarantee you will think of these songs at the most random times in your day.

These guys are geniuses. Able to write catchy, funny, deep, and enduring music after more than 30 years, wow. Unpronounceable is really cool, some neat musical ideas. Good To Be Alive is another favorite of mine. My kids (ages 3-11) can't stop singing Underwater Woman, haha. "No one can tell when she cries." Who thinks of stuff like that?! I've been a huge fan since 1990, seen them live 4 times, and I am extremely thrilled with this album!!
