20 Songs, 1 Hour 17 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

The considerable success of the spring 2014 release of Ingrid Michaelson’s Lights Out led to this November 2014 deluxe version, which adds six bonus tracks. Three songs—“My Darling,” “(I’ll Be Glad When You’re Dead) You Rascal You,” “When I Go”—appeared on the album's vinyl edition. Two are piano-and-voice demos of album tracks: “Over You” and “Everybody Is Gonna Love Me Now.” A previously unreleased acoustic live version of Bon Iver’s “Skinny Love”—a song she’s been performing in concert for years—completes the package. Anyone transfixed by the original album will equally appreciate these tracks.

Penalizing the true fans again

As much as I love Ingrid Michaelson, I am sick of this marketing practice where the true fans who purchase an album as soon as it comes out have to dole out money again to get the re-release of the album with extra tracks. Let us purchase the extra tracks separately at a lower EP price. Stop gouging us twice!!

Not so happy Ingrid fan

Don't get me wrong, I love Ingrid and I love this album but her fans should have been notified that a deluxe version was going to be released. I preordered the first album before knowing this one was going to be released and now I'll have to spend another $10 on songs I already have just to get the additional ones that weren't included on the first album I bought. I won't do it. I think it's ridiculous and its robbing fans for being dedicated enough to buy albums as soon as they're released. Not cool.
