While the release of a new Kylie album really ought to be marked by a national holiday, iTunes is proud to offer the next best thing for Aphrodite, the dance floor diva/pop queen’s 11th studio effort. Released with iTunes LP, it features a dozen new songs with state-of-the-art sequences and drum tracks as well as the exclusive bonus track “Mighty Rivers;” filmed performances of four of her songs from her 2009 North American tour; a making of the “All the Lovers” video shoot; a behind the scenes video of the photo shoot for the album; and nearly two dozen still images from that session. Potential future favorites include the lyrically motivating “Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love),” the title track and its samba-level of energy, plus the duelling analog synthesizer line and strummed acoustic guitar of “Better Than Today,” which recalls vintage Erasure.
