This album is good.
But not great.
If you listen only to music related to JFAC's old style of "Deathcore" metal, then this CD is not for you.
The "Pig Squeals" and "Bree Bree" vocals that made Jonny famous are completely missing.
Some say this is smart because the genre of music that JFAC helped pioneer (deathcore) is going to die soon. But I'd say let it die, but stick with it until the end. I greatly miss the old vocal style, but this will still be one of my favorite CDs due to the fact that I also love plain old "Death Metal".

Good CD, just different.

Holy Crap This is not what I expected

There doom Ep, was good, but this cd is so much better. They stop heading into the Hardcore/Metalcore way, and went towards Tech-Death, and I must say I was amazed. The blasting double bass, with tight fast guitar riffs, and the on slaught of duel vocals is amazing. They got more ferious, and better at constructing songs by not whoreing the breakdowns and slowing down the pace. This album is in my running for best of 2007. Songs to check out are "Reduced to Mere Filth", "Embedded" and "The Devine Falsehood". 5/5 stars. Highly Recomemded for Deathcore, Death Metal, and anyone open-minded Metal fans.

for you kids that say they are dissapointed about genesis. you all are not true Job fans, this is some of the heaviest, gnarliest stuff ive ever heard in my life. if you really listened to metal you wouldnt say every song sounds the same. never ever right a review on a metal record ever again, you have no idea what youre talking about. Genesis is awesomely brutal.
