On their first album since 2018’s Hard Feelings, Phoenix metalcore troupe blessthefall returns with a bang. The appropriately titled “Wake the Dead” was released as a standalone teaser in 2023, followed over a year later by “Drag Me Under,” an explosive tune co-written by Tony Cappocchi of Dragged Under and featuring guest vocals from Lochie Keogh of Aussie metalcore squad Alpha Wolf. blessthefall vocalist Beau Bokan and bassist/vocalist Jared Warth lead the charge on “mallxcore,” a blistering track directed at the band’s Reddit haters, before joining forces with Story of the Year on “Fell So Hard, Felt So Right” and the UK’s Caskets on “Somebody Else.”
