EDITORS’ NOTES

On their third album, From Death to Destiny, English hard-rocking heroes Asking Alexandria serve up spine-tingling metalcore. Opening tune “Don’t Pray For Me” begins deceptively with glitchy, string-heavy calm—until savage distortion and drums lay ruin to the stillness. In singer Danny Worsnop’s last appearance with the band, he lets loose with growling, death metal-style vocals on tunes like “Poison.” Elsewhere, as on the chugging “Creature,” he sends a thrilling chorus straight into the stratosphere. When the breakneck metal rage of “Until The End” closes the curtains, only darkness remains.

Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics.

Really looking foward to it

Album preview was great, singles are great, really excited

... So impressive ,

Regression

The review below mine made a very ignorant and uneducated statement of both bands. August burns red has completely changed their sounds since they started, first of all. Asking Alexandria is a completely different band than they were in 2008 because Danny can't sing OR scream like he used to. So this album is great if you like mundane, monotone screams and clean vocals that are about as clean as mud.
