Editors’ Notes Yo La Tengo singers Ira Kaplan and Georgia Hubley sound more intimately enamored with their material than ever on their second album of cover versions (with two new originals). Gentle guitars, brushed drums, and whispery vocals sketch the democratically diverse contours of tunes by Hank Williams ("I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry"), The Parliaments ("I Can Feel the Ice Melting"), and The Cure ("Friday I'm in Love"). The band even covers itself, downshifting the formerly raging "Deeper Into Movies" into a dreamy lullaby.
