Bad Reviews don’t Understand

Glad to see they kept most of the songs, including the wonderful “After All Of This and Everything!” I think a lot of the angry reviews are unaware of the purpose of this film. It’s not so much a remake of the movies as it is a remake of the stage show, and Disney’s first ever remake based on their stage shows. Heidi Blickenstaff is absolutely phenomenal!

Pleasantly Surprised

Judge for yourself. I personally believe that this is one of the better DCOM soundtracks of late. Hardly any autotune, and the songs are fun, quirky, and honest. Better than the Teen Beach Movie Soundtracks and ZOMBIES soundtrack in my opinion. Most of the people leaving bad reviews probably havent done their research, and do not realize that the Lindsay Lohan, Jamie Lee Curtis version, is the 3rd Freaky Friday remake, yup there were two versions before that one, and also don't realize that this made for tv remake, is based off of the recent on stage Freaky Friday musical.

Stage to Screen Flawlessly!

So many people don’t realize this Freaky Friday is based on the theatrical stage production, which was amazing. Ten of the twenty original songs from the production were brought into the film version with a more spunky upbeat feel rather than a Broadway feel. I definitely recommend listening to the original studio cast recording before listening to the films album to get a better idea of the story, but this album still stays true to the original and definitely recommend jamming to this album.
