HOF

The Monkees are the greatest produced band ever. I think it scares some, that a created band could sound so incredible and organic.

I recently read an article that compared them to Motown bands like the Jackson 5. I couldn't agree more. Like Motown, most of the real talent was behind the scenes, but the final product is truly some of the greatest music ever produced. It almost seems unfair when real musicians have to compete with a creation like this with "the perfect looking frontmen", "the best song writers", "the best producers", and "musicians". I think they have been snubbed from the hall of fame for that reason. They were too good, and it just wasn't fair for the less talented real bands.
