If you are a fan of Focus from 1971 like I am, this release is a pure joy to listen too. Thijs and Pierre are in fine form throughout. Pierre especially, a very under-rated a drummer in my book. If you think I'm off the wall on that assessment, go listen to Trace's first album and Pierre's Drum Poetry album...an absolute mind blowing musician! If you are not a fan, this is a fine album to start with. and go back in time. This one has all the elements that made Focus a very fine prog band. Merging classical, avant-garde, popular, rock & the blues; Focus have come up with an outstanding album. This one is going to be on my Playback fo quite awhile. Buy This Album!

Great Classic Focus Sound

On this CD you will hear that wonderful "classic" Focus sound we've all come to love. My favorites are the updated swift moving version of "Who's Calling" from the 1985 CD that was actually entitled "Focus" by Thjis & Jan. The enire CD though offers a return I thnk to that more classic Focus sound. Overall an excellent offering from 2 of the Classic lineup of Focus's heyday. Well worth the listening to friends!
