I saw him perform live at The Fillmore in San Francisco when he opened for Radiohead in 1995. He was absolutely stunning and full of energy. I have a small collection of cassette tapes from that era and this is one album that brings back great memories. Can't believe, it's been 19 yrs, time sure does fly fast but this man's music is timeless.

Don't pass this up

One of the best albums he has made and it is totally underrated. It's not over processed like White Ladder even though I love that album too. I love the raw emotion in his music and his gravelly brogue really gives each song a stoic importance that makes one able to relate to his story.
