After nearly two decades of touring, the Eli Young Band is familiar with the strain of being away from family. On Fingerprints, they reconnect with what’s important, like their faith (“Saltwater Gospel”), their inner children ("Drive"), and their soulmates ("Skin and Bones”). Despite some heavier lyrical themes (“The Days I Feel Alone” is a ballad about homesickness), the album’s grooves are warm and upbeat, making it a perfect soundtrack for summer tailgates, beach bonfires, or long drives back home.
