12 Songs, 43 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

That Feels Like Home is considered Sheryl Crow’s “country” album is a matter of semantics. Many of her best records, starting with her 1993 debut, Tuesday Night Music Club, could’ve been marketed as country-rock albums due to their acoustic instruments and roots influences. And here, songs such as “Shotgun” and “Easy” are as close to the lessons of The Rolling Stones as they are to Trace Adkins (who’s taken a few lessons from the Stones as well). Crow operates at a highly professional level where only the best musicians get near her songs. These folks can shade a tune any which way they choose, and Crow only needs to twirl her vocal into a countrified croon for a song like “We Oughta Be Drinkin’” to sound more downhome than uptown. To hear what she can do vocally with “Give It to Me” is more on-point than whatever considerations she gives toward "country." A good song is a good song, genres be damned, and Crow knows a catchy one when she sings it.

auto tuned??? really?!

First off Sheryl has put out a ton of great music. i'm more than sure this will be along the same lines as the others! As for auto-tune come on!! She is a pro and sings live at concerts all year long she is not a rookie she is a true musician. Before you judge her look at her history! Also to be a country album it doesn't have to be cookie cutter country of now. most of what is "country" now a days is not even close to country! A large majority of her past music has a bit of country flavor and she grew up with her music roots in country etc. Stop hating and just enjoy some great music! I look forward to her next album!!!

Sheryl rocks! ,

A Change Would Do Sheryl Good & it did!!!!!! :)

I'm not a huge fan of country music, but I love & can tolerate some crossover artists like Mary Chapin Carpenter & Shania Twain. I've been a fan of Sheryl Crow for almost 10 years now when my Dad gave me "The Very Best Of Sheryl Crow" for my 11th birthday in 4th grade in 2004. I love Sheryl because she writes incredibly reflective & catchy music that anyone can relate to. I can relate to all Sheryl's music because I've been through some "Detours" of my own & I've realized that, just like Sheryl, I'm a strong woman who's been through some hard times in life; (Ex: Breakups, premature birth, & other health crises). I've always been a fan of you Sheryl & I always will be!!! Keep making records & keep up the good work!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

Sheryl is artist of my year.

I have waited so long for new music from this fabulous artist. She's like Reba McEntire for me, I love both..it dont matter what they're singing THEY SOUND AMAZING DOING IT! Sheryl has ALWAYS been 1 of my favorites and she always will be. I can't wait to hold the hard copy Sept.10th!! No oneshould be rating her 1star just because you can only preview 1 song. Come on now, have more sense than that, this is only the pre-order guys..good Lord. Itunes don't receive every song until the album gets released, so CALM DOWN & learn to rate artist on how they truly are. PLEASE MAKE MORE MUSIC AFTER THIS ALBUM SHERYL! I LOVE YOU!
