EDITORS’ NOTES

The bits on Patton Oswalt’s first album are like comedy shrapnel: short, sharp, and exploding in every direction at once. Like a lot of underground comics, he fashions himself as a kind of frustrated armchair anthropologist, observing the U.S. through a surreal prism of liquor ads, TV news, and pop culture (Avril Lavigne and Good Will Hunting appear in his version of the apocalypse). Angry, manic, seriously intelligent, and bizarrely funny, Oswalt turns Feelin’ into a hilarious and defining moment.

Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics.

Amazing

This album is amazing. It's the funniest material I have heard next to Dane Cook and Mitch Hedberg. Do not think I'm saying this is like Dane Cook or Mitch Hedberg, because Oswalt's comedy is very differnent. He is more li ke David Cross or Dave Attell comedy, which he admits to in the album. Patton covers such topics as Stella D'oro Breakfast treat commercials and Paas Egg Decorators to Robert Eveans telling wild tales of the seventies on ESPN. The range of topics and sheer wit gives this album 5 Stars. It's seriously worth it.

Funniest Comic Ever

I was first turned on to the comedy scene last year when Dane Cook released his first album. My friend lent it to me. Shortly afterward, she lent me this Patton Oswalt album. I have to say, I'm enjoying it a hole lot more than Dane Cook.

Patton Oswalt has to be one of the more criminally unappreciated comics these days. Personally, I think that his work is far more funny than Dane Cook, who nowadays is far more popular. This is a definite buy if you're a fan of comedy, or if you just like having a laugh at another's expense, as this guy makes fun of plenty of people.

Funniest thing in a long time!

I purchased this album before my boyfriend and I went on a road trip. We had to stop listening to it for a while--we were both laughing so hard. We now quote the cd to each other when ever we see things like apples or listen to 80s rock or remember Bob Ross (the happy painter).
Patton is funny in that clever "South Park" way...(some people with less of a sense of humor would call it sophmoric) its so funny you'll pee your pants, but you feel like you shouldn't be laughing. If I could only own one comedy cd this would be it! If you like Feelin' Kinda Patton go to patton oswalt's website, you can by the unedited version of this, a 2 hour long 2 cd set called "222". Enjoy and try not to operate heavy machinary while listening.
