Def worth the purchase!

I am a diehard BNL fan, and while I have loved just about every album, “silverball” and “fake nudes” I haven’t listened to as much because I didn’t love the mix/producing of the songs (sounds a little too much “Imagine Dragons” for me). I saw the post for this new acoustic release of the latest album “Fake Nudes” and ALMOST wrote it off, but I clicked the YouTube video of “Lookin Up” and WOW! I wish the album came out like this in the beginning. With writers, singers, and musicians this good, you don’t need effects. Just let the music shine.

Thanks for this release, and if you’re on the fence, Trust me- just GET IT! You will fall in love with the album (and you’ll go back to the original with a newfound appreciation, like me)

Expecting Novelty, got much more.

I pre-ordered, and was mostly expecting some neat alternate acoustic versions of Fake Nudes that I might listen to on occasion, but the final product is actually made up of beautiful versions that improve on the previous album.

For example “Bringing It Home” features a slightly slower tempo that really opens the song up.

The starkest difference is between Hearn’s “Invisible Fence” and “Township of King” which feature warmer vocals that turn these two tracks that were weaker entries on the full album into beautifully rich standouts.

If you’re on the fence, it isn’t just a retreat album and if you’re a fan of the current era of BNL you’ll find yourself craving acoustic versions of tracks from Grinning Streak and Silverball.
